Corne Spies predicted that Noble Striker will be a nice horse as he matures and the son of Noble Tune is making steady progress as a three-year-old.
Following a good second to City By The Sea at Turffontein last week, he pounced in good style to win a MR77 Handicap at the Vaal on Thursday, finishing strong.
“I thought last week’s run was in a stronger field and on that I gave him a big chance today. I had a lot of horse under me at the 400m mark and he quickened away well. Thanks to Mr van Wyk (owner) and the Spies team for the opportunities.”
Noble Striker races for owner/breeder Justus van Wyk and Spies Racing and he’s a gelding by Noble Tune by Larussa, by Doowaaley. He was named after champion jockey Piere ‘Striker’ Strydom.
