THE stable’s seasonal tally is now 16 winners, and we occupy a Top 10 position in the National Trainers’ Log log following Sweet Sensation’s game win in Saturday’s WSB Sophomore Sprint over 1000m at the Vaal.

Sweet Sensation (Muzi Yeni) tracked the leader Valerian King, and was herself tracked by the favourite Ana Capri, the popular grey.

The race developed into a three-way tussle and over the last 200m Sweet Sensatation showed tenacity by holding off both challengers and winning a good race.

Said Yeni: “I know the Spies stable rate her highly and she deserved to win a race like this, including beating a few colts.

“She has talent and natural speed and showed her class today. I think she has more improvement in her.”

Sweet Sensation is a Klawervlei graduate, sired by VAR from Rich Girl (Rock Of Gibraltar).

She races for Jay Rumnandall, Dr Sagie Naidoo, Anthony Seur and Sunil Heeramun.
