We Will Rock You posted her second win from seven starts in a MR75 Handicap over 1200m at the Vaal on 5 November. She was easy to back, but led for a long way, kept going and defied her 8-1 starting price.
We Will Rock You, ridden by Marco van Rensburg, clocked 69,21s, easing down late. This was interesting, because it was a faster time than the time set by Francene, who won a MR95 Handicap an hour earlier, in a driving finish.
Corne Spies commented: “This was a special win for us, win number 300 for Rob and Sue Macnab, who joined the stable in 2002 and have been with us through good times and low times. I hope there are more 300th wins! Also well done to Clive Murphy and Stergio Poriazis.”
Jockey Marco van Rensburg said he expected a good run. “Her last run was fantastic, she came flying and showed us she had the ability.”
We Will Rock You is a three-year-old filly by Oratorio from Jets-A-Blazing, by Jet Master. She was bred by Patricia Devine Investments.
