A new chapter in a family story
On 1 August 2026, Corne and Xander Spies began their official training partnership. It brings together Corne's decades of elite-level training experience and bloodstock judgment with Xander's racing knowledge, owner focus, legal background and modern approach to communication and stable management.
The partnership carries forward a racing tradition established by Tobie Spies and shaped across three generations. The standard remains simple: put the horse first, tell owners the truth, place each runner intelligently and give every horse the opportunity to fulfil its ability.
