African Pride does it again !
Mickaelle Michel and African Pride posted a follow-up win in a strong sprint handicap at Hollywoodbets Greyville on Saturday, 13 June. This was an even better win than last Sunday, and the big son of Rafeef is well on the upgrade.
“He is so big he barely fits into the gates, but his heart is just as big,” enthused the in-form Mickaelle. “This was a big effort, special.”
Corne Spies pointed the fact that this was African Pride’s first run at HWB Greyville, and he won it from a wide draw and in a strong field. :”We were testing the water on where to go with him, and I am very pleased. With a bit of luck we’ll see him on both the big race days coming up here.”
Corne congratulated Chris Brown and his “bunch of spies” from the ISpy syndicate and said: “It’s a privilege to work with a horse of this ability.”
African Pride was bred by Robin Bruss’ Northfields Stud.
